Workshop 1- E safety and Web 2.0

Hello and welcome to my new blog.

I have started this blog in connection with my ICT module at university. It will allow me to post information that I am researching and to reflect on my ICT experience!

Initially we have been discussing e safety and its implications in primary schools. E safety covers issues relating to children and the safe use of the internet, mobile phones and other communication technology, both in and out of school.Schools must produce an e safety policy which is available in a newsletter or via a school's website.

Web 2.0 reflects the changing use of the web itself. No longer just a tool for accessing information, the web now allows users to contribute to web based communities and fully interact with other users.

Many schools are starting to produce their own blogs to enhance learning.  The benefits are listed in the link below:

 As society progresses around us, learning must evolve at the same rate.
